It’s been more than 15 years since I started working as a Stream Team Biologist.  Working with you, our Stream Team volunteers, has been an indescribable experience.  Partly because you are so dedicated and passionate about the work you do; partly because so many of you have become my extended family.  There is something about working together to protect and improve something so important to you that intertwines you with the person by your side.  As I considered promotion opportunities, I had doubts because I had no desire to leave the Stream Team Program or the section where it is housed within our Fisheries Division at MDC, the Stream Unit.  So, the perfect door opened when Paul Calvert, our previous Stream Services Program Supervisor was promoted to Fisheries Field Operations Chief.  Dominoes!  I’m happy to say I’ll be serving now as the next Stream Services Program Supervisor and look forward to the new challenges.  In this role, I’ll supervise the Stream Team staff and oversee its progress as well as supervising our Stream Technical staff.  It is my desire to help make it possible for you, the Teams, to have more and more successes as you work towards our common goal: protecting and improving our flowing water resources.
Here’s to the future!
