Stream Teams United is a nonprofit organization that works to support Stream Teams across Missouri, as well as the Missouri Stream Team Program.  The Missouri Stream Team has over 100,000 citizen volunteers statewide that work to protect and improve our state’s water resources.  The Missouri Stream Team Program is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Position Summary
The Program Manager will lead implementation of key programs of Stream Teams United.  Primary responsibilities include:
  • Planning and implementing the water advocacy program
  • Tracking water-relevant legislation and public actions
  • Communicating with legislators
  • Coordinating our feature Paddle MO event
This position will require working with a varied group of individuals and partners. The ideal candidate will be organized and energetic with a diverse skill set.
Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build productive relationships
  • Knowledge of the legislative process
  • Experience in advocacy and/or community organizing
  • Experience communicating with the public and/or media, both written and verbal
  • Experience in event planning
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge and experience with the Missouri Stream Team Program
  • Experience with email marketing and communication
  • Experience developing and managing website content
  • Outdoor/recreational experience on Missouri waterways
